I soft-launched the new site in December 2020. To me, AdvantageHosting.ca is now cleaner, more nationally branded, and a more purposeful website. The early feedback from clients has been positive. More importantly, the site and products are built on a robust and scalable back-end that can meet my client’s needs for the foreseeable future.

Some of things that keep me interested, engaged, and amused. My distractions include: drones, Raspberry PI projects, web-sites, entrepreneurial endeavors, and whatever else catches my eye.
The 11th Anniversary of Duke’s Poker
Duke’s Poker is a poker club that I started 11 years ago on Pokerstars.com. The club originally started with a small group of friends and colleagues that played every Sunday night.
Opening a WWII Military Foot Locker
While clearing out my mom’s house after she passed, we came across an old WW II military foot locker that was my step father’s fathers. Opening it led to a treasure trove of cool artifacts.
Our Raccoon visitor
I was sitting in our living room today, when I looked out our sliding glass door and saw a raccoon peering back in. There was a moment of surprise and then holy smokes…our two Coon hounds saw what I saw. The raccoon scurried around the edges of our backyard while both dogs freaked out jumping…

What was weird was letting the dog out mid afternoon on a blazing hot day and having a skunk waiting for him. The skunk was eating seeds from under the bird feeder. Skunk sightings in the day almost never happen.
Spiller Family versus the Skunk Family – Part I
Being long time pet owners, we are well aware of that moment when you let your dog out, hear the barks, and then smell that distinctive scent that can mean only one thing. The dog has been sprayed…again.
This time, it wasn’t our dog that got sprayed!
